How to use

Step 1

Protect clothes with a towel during application. Section your hair and apply to wet, detangled curls.

Step 2

Smooth over each section, then rake to ensure it coats every strand.

Step 3

Select your desired styling method (scrunch/fingercurls/shingle) to enhance and define. Dry with a diffuser to allow the color to set.

Step 4

After hair is fully dry, scrunch again to break the cast. Be gentle to avoid color fallout. Enjoy your new look!

"This product was a wonderful surprise in how effectively it works! Incredibly easy to work with, apply and top up. I couldn't believe how rich the colour was; to the extent that I've had questions whether it's my natural hair colour! The glitter adds a beautiful natural shine, which made my ringlets look so healthy. I found the product lasted well, and I got in the habit of topping up a little each morning before heading out, to keep the deep colour and shine. It washes out fully and easily. "Es funktioniert sehr gut, ist eine schöne Farbe, die Haare werden richtig schön lockig und glänzen. Man braucht aber ziemlich viel (ca. 3/4 Tube für lange Haare - nicht ganz bis zu den Ellenbogen -), um ein gleichmäßiges Ergebnis zu erhalten. Trotzdem ein tolles Produkt! Es macht Spaß, zu sehen, ob bzw. wie einem eine andere Haarfarbe steht und lässt sich hinterher gut wieder auswaschen. Schade, dass es das Hair-Makeup nicht in größeren Tuben (zum Vorteilspreis) gibt und ebenfalls schade, dass es nur Rottöne gibt. Für blonde oder weiße Haare wären auch hellbraune und mittelbraune Töne interessant. Für andere sicherlich auch dunkelbraun. Gäbe es das Hair-Makeup in Brauntönen, würden wir diese auf jeden Fall auch kaufen. Der Preis ist etwas hoch (insbesondere, da die Menge nur für 1 1/2 Anwendungen reicht), aber für das Ergebnis noch ok!"

Would this product be OK for my four-year-old blonde hair without damaging it or ruining it and will look for sure wash out in one shampoo wash.

Can you use this just on your roots? To cover grey hair growth between hairdresser trips. My hair is already dyed copper. I need something to cover the grey roots.

Hi,I am gonna use this product for cosplay;can I use a curling iron after I apply this when my hair completely dry?
We wouldn't recommend applying any styler such as gel, jelly and the colour gels to your hair prior to applying direct heat from a straightener, curling wand etc. As the Hair Makeup has an inbuilt gel, it can cause damage to your hair and also the appliance, so we would advise against straightening after applying. We would only advise that you use a hairdryer/diffuser. We would recommend applying the gel after you have straightened/applied direct heat to your hair. You can then scrunch your hair and apply oil to break any cast that has formed.

If I apply a hair oil after applying, will this disturb the color or make it transfer to clothes/skin?
The strong hold styling gel formula makes the colour transfer-proof and provides a long-lasting definition for your curls. It doesn't contain any dyes, and works by depositing a layer of pigment. If you apply oil to your hair after using the Hair Makeup, it may potentially cause some color transfer, especially if the oil is heavy. Therefore we recommend that you apply any oil carefully, in a very small amount. You may prefer to scrunch your curls without any oil when using the Hair Makeup.
