Contrary to traditional 2 in 1 shampoo & conditioner, which is a shampoo with a little bit of conditioning ingredients inside, this incredibly delicate co-wash is a conditioner with a little bit of cleansing ingredients inside. This unique cleansing conditioning complex helps remove dirt and build-up while being extremely gentle on the scalp, keeping the hair soft, moisturised and detangled without stripping away its natural oils.

How to use

Step 1

Wet your hair thoroughly, then dispense a generous blob of product working it into your palms before applying it directly to the scalp.

Step 2

Massage gently but vigorously to clear the scalp and melt down all dirt and product build-up.

Step 3

Add some more product to your lengths and gently detangle using your fingers, a brush or a wide tooth comb.

Step 4

Rinse thoroughly. If your hair is particularly dry, follow with Curlsmith® Essential Moisture Conditioner!

Why did the formula change??

"I absolutely LOVED this cleansing conditioner up until my last order. The formula has drastically changed, for the worse. It is incredibly thin and runny now, to the point where I can't put any of the product in my hand first, it just runs straight down to the bathtub floor. I basically have to squirt the bottle straight over my head, which is not ideal since I have no control of how much product I'm using at that point. Also, I believe the actual formula has changed, too. The ingredients are slightly different and not as moisturizing as before. Bring back the old formula, please!"

Hair and Scalp Never Healthier

"My hair stylist couldn’t get over how healthy my hair and scalp were after I started using this conditioning wash. Hair feels soft and clean and I have never experienced any buildup. New label, new ingredient. New allergen

"When you changed your labels, my scalp started itching when I washed. I started getting eczema flare ups on my back and neck- where I never had eczema before. My hair has thinned out and become very damaged looking, despite my air dry routine along with never dying or processing it. I just compared ingredients from the old label, I found a new ingredient: tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalenes. This is for fragrance and is known to care skin sensitivity and is an allergen. Please remove it from your products. I love your products but they are now ruining my hair."

HI Bonnie! We have the Essential Moisture Conditioner in the same line, please use this as a wash out conditioner after using the shampoo. We also recommend using a leave-in conditioner :)
