WHY?
Unfortunately, despite advances in production methods, there is no sustainable way to harvest traditional silk. The only way to get a usable thread is by killing the silkworm that produces it. This is because if you wait until the worm hatches from the cocoon, the thread is no longer viable for production. We believe no animal should be harmed to create beauty products, which is why we have chosen a more sustainable option.
